Plaxtons of Wigan (formerly Northern Counties) are to build and supply an open top double deck bus and have requested that Analysis by Firth perform the analysis and recommend any changes to the vehicle. The main aim is to ensure the design is acceptable and behaves the same as a conventional double deck bus.
It has proved necessary to make considerable changes to the standard build to create a vehicle with similar torsional and bending stiffness to a conventional double deck bus.
