Alexander, part of Mayflower Corporation, is supplying single deck buses to the USA. As one of our longest standing consultancy clients, Analysis by Firth have been requested to assist with modifications required to meet the US safety regulations.
Stringent safety standards have to be met, including the requirement that the bus is strong enough to bear 150% of its own weight on the roof and that the wheelchair restraints meet severe loading conditions.
Analysis by Firth is to perform Finite Element Analysis to ensure that when tested the vehicle will pass first time.
