We are pleased to announce that the new version of MSC.visualNastran
for Windows, version 2003, is now available. All current customers
who are up to date with maintenance will now have received the latest
version, but please contact us should this not be the case. For any
readers who may be interested in purchasing MSC.visualNastran for
Windows please find below details of the new features.
Stress Wizard - useful for new and casual users, performs linear static
analysis on single parts using parasolid bodies. All other MSC.visualNastran
for Windows functions are still available while the Stress Wizard
is running.
Improved Meshing - you can now mesh curves embedded on surface, extrude,
sweep or revolve element faces. There is automatic suppression of
short edges, length based mesh sizing and you can also copy constraints
and loads with mesh copy operations.
Enhanced Geometric Constraints - this includes new surface and cylindrical
surface constraints.
New Graphics Engine - the enhanced geometry engine from version 2002,
is now fully implemented.
Analysis Monitor - this replaces the Nastran status monitor window.
The modeller session stays active while the solver runs. There are
options to display .f04, f06, or .log files during MSC.visualNastran
simulation.
New Non Linear+ Module - this was featured in our last newsletter
and offers MSC.Marc inside MSC.visualNastran for Windows.
To coincide with the release of version 2003 we are offering a 10%
discount off all MSC.visualNastran for Windows software and modules,
MSC.visualDesktop 2D and 4D, ordered before the end of the year (31.12.03).
